Hi Everyone! Just checkin in! I am almost finished with school, but I hate my typography teacher! Most of the stuff we have done in that class has nothing to do with typography! The number of students went down from 35 down to 8! I have stuck around for two reasons: one, Typography is required for my major, and two, I've come too far to throw it all away. Our last assignment is a "Social Issue". Now what does this have to do with typography? Nothing! My teacher is into political topics and she always finds a way to bring it in to her classes. Just for the hell of it, I'm doing mine on the writers strike, which is still going on right now. I do hope the writers get what they want, becasue without them, we wouldn't have all the fabulous TV shows we have, and other people like the crew wouldn't have work.
How I'm going to do this assignment, I don't know. My teacher is very vague on the details of how we're supposed to do our assignments. I'll present it however I want! I don't care if she likes it or not! I get the feeling I'll still pass her class.
Now that I'm done ranting, I would like to wish all my American friends a Happy Thanksgiving!
