I'm a freelance graphic designer trying to get out into the world. Huge fan of the Swedish band Ghost. Also into Transformers and Marvel.

New Years Resolutions
I give up! Looking back at past lists, it's always the same stuff! So I'm not gonna bother making any.
Best and Worst of 2017
Another year has passed and still more celebrity deaths, this time it was the musicians turn. But another tragedy is the five to six wildfires that started in different places around Southern California. It hit closer to home for me because one of my aunt's was camping in Carpinteria, but she and my uncle moved to Pismo. It was also a year of triumph as many victims of sexual abuse came out of the shadows and were no longer silent, both female and male. Unfortunately not all the abusers are being punished yet, but some allegations may be false and that only makes it harder for the real victims to come forward. So onto my lists of the best and worst of the year.
Best New Albums:
Iron Maiden-Book of Souls Live. the original came out in 2015, but they released their live version this year, so I get to relive my concert experience.
Ghost-Ceremony and Devotion. I don't have it yet, but I will soon and I will get to relive my ritual experiences.
Stone Sour-Hydrograd. As always, they manage to top their last albums and I finally got to see them live for the first time!
Metallica-Hardwired. This was on last years list, but I have it this time! Also got to see them live.
Avenged Sevenfold-The Stage (Deluxe Edition) 6 cover songs were added to this version.
Best Songs:
Maleguena Salerosa-covered by Avenged Sevenfold, a Spanish folk song that is over 100 years old!
Song #3-by Stone Sour
Spit out the Bone-by Metallica
Oh Lord-by In This Moment
The World is Yours-by Arch Enemy
Love Falls-by Hellyeah
Person of the Year:
The victims of sexual abuse in Hollywood and the music industry who got the courage to come forward after Harvey Weinstein's victims came forward first.
Most Hated People of the Year:
Donald Trump: Third year in a row on this list! Still hasn't been impeached!
Roy Moore: Alabama judge who is running for Senate. Accused of sexual misconduct and hasn't been charged. Update: He lost!
Harvey Weinstein: Film producer who over the years sexually harassed actresses and was never stopped, until now! The accusations that have come to light started a domino effect on others who did the same as him.
In Memorium:
Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, Tom Petty, Adam West, Mary Tyler Moore, Hugh Hefner, Charlie Murphy, Bill Paxton, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry,
Good Riddance!:
Charles Manson-Unfortunately he got to die a peaceful death, something his victims never got.
Best TV Shows:
The Defenders-Marvel show on Netflix. I haven't finished it yet, but I thought it was good. It brings together Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and DareDevil.
Preacher-Based off a graphic novel. Not for the faint of heart, but very crazy! Preacher get possessed by a spirit that was conceived by a demon and angel.
Inhumans-Was originally part of the phase 4 MCU line-up, but made into a TV show instead.
Best Movies:
Guardians of the Galaxy 2-Changed parts from the original comic, but still a good movie.
Spider-Man Homecoming-Brought back to Marvel, even though Sony was loaning the character to Marvel.
Thor Ragnorok-All part of the MCU. Finally got planet Hulk version of Hulk.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi-This movie is both loved and hated by fans. Some fanboys need to chill and just enjoy the movie!
the Shape of Water-I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to! It's directed by Guillermo Del Toro and is about a mute woman and a sea creature who fall in love and do it!
Wonder Woman-I'm not a fan of DC very much, but this movie was way better than Batman vs Superman! and being directed by a female made it even better! and her costume was actual armor and not sexualized.
Worst Movies:
Valerian and the City of a 1,000 Planets-Based off a French comic strip. Usually I hate trailers that give away too much of the movie, but the trailers for this one were so vague that I didn't know what the movie was about or what the plot was going to be!
Geostorm-Went with a so-called friend to see it, wasn't that great.
The Emoji Movie-Who the hell thought making this movie was a good idea!? and why did Patrick Stewart agree to do voice work?
Transformers The Last Knight-I can't believe I'm putting one of these on this list, but this movie really was bad! Some parts retconned some of the back story and other part made no sense. I just hope the Bumblebee movie will redeem the transformers franchise.
Justice League-Didn't bother seeing it because I heard it took two steps back with Wonder Woman where her costume was sexualized.
