A Change of Plans?
I'm back! I have been so busy with school that I haven't had time to update, or even read the new chapters of "The Boy Who Heard Music." I have missed four chapters and I need to catch up. That's what happens when you have to do homework instead of going on the internet. Also, I was nervous about reading what comments I would get on my last post. I was afraid that y'all would think I'm crazy. OK, so about what I said about becoming a session guitarist, I don't know what the hell I was thinking. I was so excited about learning new things on the guitar that I thought of it as another career option. I mean I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. Now I have a new direction I can go to get my degree in graphic design, I might be transferring to the Art Institute of Los Angeles, leaving behind the community college that I have been going to for too long. (I would've graduated sooner if only I hadn't dropped out of too many classes in the beginning.) Although I am doing a whole lot better now in school, going to this new school will get me my degrees faster, and the classes are more geared toward my major. When I do become a graphic designer, I will continue to paint, draw, and take photos, art that is done the old fashioned way without computers. This will be a way to do art for expression and not for the purpose of making money. I will continue to practice my guitar to play better. About designing guitars, I would still like to do that. I got an interesting comment from Simon Townshend saying that I should be designing them for the lesser or unknown guitarists, and you know what? He's right! I was not thinking clearly at that time. It was an ambitious idea to design for the already famous guitarists, but they already have enough design guitars. Thanks Simon. Well, that's enough for now. Hopefully I'll be back soon.

Well you're not crazy but you are totally busy! Busier than I am!
Hey session musicians make the world go round, chick! But depending on your
skills, I dunno. It's good to be open to doing other things. Sometimes what we want to do and what we are good at are two different things. :(
You notice that? Like someone might be a good photographer, the best. But what they really want to do is be a singer. But they suck at singing. But it's their passion!Yet they are the killer photographer. I dunno. It's not me personally but it's someone I once knew.
What are the things that you are really good at? And do you like to do the things that you are really good at? Focus on those things instead. Are you good at guitar? Then be a regular session person...
"Jimmy Page: Session Man"
I think there is a CD out there called this. I've known a session man and been a bit of a session woman, technically. :)
