My Best Beach Day Ever!

Zuma Beach, the waves were big and the current was strong that day. Rincon Beach, Tide pools are visible at low tide. Great place for surfing.

I wanted to post this on Monday, but my internet was down.

Monday, I went with my sister and her two friends to Zuma beach. It was fun until the tide came in while me and my sister's friend were tanning. Everything got wet, my towel, my clothes, and we almost lost the icechest. After that, we decided to go to Rincon beach, which used to be a nudist beach in the 60's, but it's not anymore. We stopped in Ventura first to get some ice cream, then we arrived at Rincon. That was fun too, also I found a $20 bill while I was combing the area for seashells. I was able to buy everyone something to eat after we left the beach.
This was the best beach day I ever had in my life because I always want to stay all day long till sunset. Whenever we went with my parents, we would only stay for two to three hours and then it's "OK let's go home now!" This time we got to go to two beaches and stay as long as we wanted. For those who have never been to a beach, I hope you get a chance to go someday. You do get sand everywhere, but the best part is when you go home to take a shower because you come out feeling very clean.

Hi Metalchick,
Oh, you are making me very hungry for California. That shoreline is so beautiful, and I am going to spend a lot of time digging my toes into the sand in August.

Glad you had a lovely time out. Thanks for the advice and support- it means a lot.

Cheers,
AM

Oh man, I had to comment again on these pics!
Thanks for sharing them.
I've never heard of Zuma Beach - but I'll have to check it out.
I'm trying to get into shape so I can learn how to surf (at age 43)!

I know it's weird I'm going this far back to post-I'm catching up anyway- but amen! My parents, brother, and I went to that very same beach! And had the very same thing happen always! Had to go home after a few hours. Usually my mother's urging. I think my dad would have stayed longer. So this did sound like an awesome day at the beach, and it's good that you recorded it for posterity. :):):)
