Hi Metalchick, hope you feel good. I think Moony was one of the best drummers in the world. I think he's playing with John together in heaven. All the best from me Stefan
Happy Birthday Keith! A legend complete with all the crazy tales.... Have you ever heard Keith's only solo album Two Sides of the Moon? It includes a bunch of random covers. It almost has a Rocky Horror Picture Show crossed with Grease sound to it, if that means anything.
Ian, That is true! any band isn't anything without a drummer. Thanks for the link.
Ginab, Thanks! I'm getting better at playing guitar, and luckily my fingers haven't bled yet.
Bookworm, I'm feeling great! I agree, we wouldn't have so many great drummers today if not for Keith. I believe that John and Keith are in God's tavern jamming together.
Dale, It is hard to imagine what Keith would be like today if he were still alive.
hn, I'm sorry that I haven't heard it yet, but your description gives me an idea of what it probably sounds like.
Hi Metalchick, There is quite a sad interview (Keith's last) on youtube:

By the way, when I was refering to novels dancing in my head on Ian G.'s blog, I meant books I am writing, not those I am reading. But, with rare exceptions, I also don't read novels more than once- too many on my list!
Metal, Hi there! OMG, I haven't been by here, in a while. GOOD LUCK with school. Don't be on this blog too much, now ya hear! Get your school work done, first....OK, MOM is over and out.
Now, thanks for having an open mind toward different music. I try to. The only "music" I absolutely detest, is TECHNO....it just has no soul. Just my opin!
Hi Chick, yes, it's good to remember our Keith. As Ian said, he was the heart and soul of the group. He certainly pumped some extra life through their music!
BTW, my friend, from college....it was her sister, who took that picture of Pete, fresh with blood dripping from his hand.....I am six degrees seperated from EVERYONE and no one, at all ;-(
Wow ... didn't realize Keith would be 60 this year. What a loss. I have a new post about my first exposure to his drumming and what it meant to me as a teenage drummer.
Thanks for visiting. Are you going to either/both of the Bowl shows?

I did see the title of an ancient painting today, The Enraged Musician, which made me think...

The Who are still a great band, but there is still a huge hole where Keith should be.
Curiosity is life.
I often feel like Keith Moon was the energy of The Who. Miss reading of his antics. And, I always had a crush. sigh.
