Wow! It has been a whole year since I started Blogging, and it all started with my love of The Who. I first heard about blogging from The Daily Show, but here's how I got started on blogging. I was navigating around the internet looking for cool websites about The Who and I stumbled into Pete Townshend's Official site. I started reading his diary pages and he was talking about Rachel. I wondered who she was, I thought at the time she was just a friend of his. He also talked about how she had a blog, so I checked it out. (this is how I discovered Rachel) I remember Rachel talking about how Pete started getting into blogging. Later on when reading Pete's diary pages, that is where I first found TBWHM. At first I was reading the chapters there, but when he mentioned that we can leave comments on the chapters in his blog, I clicked on the link and found his blog. When I learned that we can make our own blogs, I did so.
...and that's how I got into the world of blogging.
Looking back from my first entry, I sure have come a long way. At first I wasn't sure of what I would be writing about and I was worried that I would get nasty comments from trolls. Well now I know that I have written so many interesting topics and I have received a lot of nice comments from you all.
Before blogging, I used to post comments on message boards, which wasn't always a great experience because of the trolls or the very opinionated commenters. I have only been in a chat room once, and I hated it! I clicked on the topic of music, but in that chatroom, they weren't talking about music! also those chatters type too fast! Everytime I tried to type a response, the chatters would already be on a new topic!
So far, blogging has been the best experience on the internet ever! (Better than MySpace, and I still don't have an account there!) and I'm still having a great experience. I have talked to so many interesting people, and I know that when I finally meet any of you guys, it will feel like seeing an old friend again.
I would like to thank Pete Townshend for getting me started on blogging, for introducing me to Rachel, and Mikey, and for his wonderful stories, even though The Comedian was stopped.
Here's to many more years of blogging!

It was through his website, that I had been visiting for some time, that I heard Rachel had a blog.
I already had her CD and found it an excellent opportunity to tell her how much I like it!
The rest is history.
Our love of Pete and The Who seems to be taking us to interesting places.
What a great community we have here - Pete continues to break ground!

Hi Metalchick, it's so sad about the Amish shooting, I can't handle it, there are so many messed up people in this world. He took the most innocent ones, kids who weren't even around two decades ago. I don't know what on earth he was so upset about, but I hope he burns in hell for what he has done.

I got into blogging because Wife-Slave suggested it as a way to promote my music. Certainly more folks have heard my music than every before which is pretty cool. And yeah, there are some really cool people, yourself top of the list, that I've met blogging. Now I have to budget my time cuz really I could spend all day on the net and not getting anything else done. It's crazy but fun and for me it's really the only social outlet I have.
I only started blogging a few months ago. I wish I started earlier so I could have left messages on Pete's blog - just never got round to it. Glad I did though, I've met some cool people.
I too got into blogging due to Pete and Rachel. It's only been a few months for me though! Happy anniversary or should i say Blogger-versary?! lol
Hi. That is pretty much how I started blogging. I have been checking out Pete's site for a few years now, and I too went over to Rachel's from there, and what a charmer she is. I like her for her, (not who her boyfriend is.) I got Sirius yesterday! And I have been listening to the Who channel ever since!! Hope all is good with you

I started blogging entirely because of Pete Townshend as well. I also agree it is one of the most fantastic aspects of the net, but there are many. I wish I had more time to really get involved - it is a great form of expression and community. I love it. I really hope Pete comes back too. Many thanks to the good folks at Google/Blogger for providing this amazing forum.
