I Received My Ticket!

Here it is! It came in the mail today. I'm so happy! I also found out that I am on the Lower level, which isn't bad at all. I know what the stadium looks like inside because the Metallica concert I went to was at that same place. The only differences is the name of the stadium and the settings of the stage. When Metallica played, they had the stage in the middle of the stadium, and it slowly rotated so you would have a view of all musicians. Metallica also had what they call "The Snake Pit" That's the area surrounding the stage, where the lucky fans stand close to the stage. I was up in the upper level, but the view wasn't so bad. For the Who concert, the stage is going to be on one side of the stadium, and I'm guessing that no one will be seated behind the stage. It would be cool if The Who's stage were set up like Metallica's, but I'm happy enough to be there. Now I just have to figure out how to get backstage. How do you get backstage passes? Anybody willing to share? those who've met me probably noticed that my hair looks different, I just bleached it because I'm going to dye it red later.
My parents just bought a digital camera, mostly for their Hawaiian vacation, but we can still use it for other things. That's how I was able to get a picture of me with the ticket. I also took a picture of my dog Sophie in her brand new jacket. Doesn't she look adorable!? Now she'll no longer be shakey! Right below is a picture of Paulie, one of my cats. My mom's packing, but it seems like he wants to come along the trip too. That flash is bright, look what it did to his eyes, kinda like what happened to Neil's cat Baby.
Well, that's all for now, I'll post up another picture of me when my hair is done, and also a picture of my other cat Ringo.

Hell's cats, Chick! LOL

You look great - and so happy!
Now I know what you look like.

Lucky you!

And I know that the stage will be at one end with no one sitting behind it - but lots of guys hanging around above on both sides way up high.
Well... up high if you're on the floor in front of Pete and Roger.
As far as backstage passes go, it can't hurt to tell them at the ticket wicket that you're a guest of Pete's or Rachel's and go from there...

You are an animal lover, too, I see... I think I knew that.
If you get a chance, post a pic of your other cats.

Have way too much fun at the concert!

Love
Dale

Oh, it's going to be fabulous! I've never tried going backstage, so I'm sorry I have no words of advice other than "Good luck."

I'm glad shopping went well for you. Your dog is adorable. Paulie is displaying true cat behavior of being in the center of attention & interrupting what's going on. Cameras are a lot of fun....enjoy....

When i went to see The Who i had to wait months for my ticket to come through, i got very scared in-case it didn't arrive, so I'm glad you got yours and you wont have to panic nearer the time! :)

By the way- there are so many different stories about the origins of Boxing Day; i have no idea which is the right one, Wikipedia has a few meanings though.

You will have a great time at the concert! Do you know any other bloggers that are going?

Dave and I went to the Atlantic City show Friday - it was the best concert I've ever seen. I have to buy that DVD when it comes out! I was going to buy the Boston show, but now I think I'll buy the Borgata one. Maybe the Hershey one if Monday tops it, but I'm not sure how it could!

For backstage passes, it has to be arranged before the show by someone with the band. They won't let you back unless you are wearing a pass. They are very strict about it obviously or everyone would end up back there!!

Have a great week! Thanks for changing your blog to allow anonymous comments. Those of us who were fool enough to change to Beta Blogger are now very limited in who we can post to :-(

Hurrah! You do look happy in the pic too, I like it :)

I think formally for backstage passes you need "connections", i.e. know someone in the band entourage and be invited. The alternative is competitions. But I agree, it doesn't hurt to try what Dale suggested. Also, keep your eyes sharp: if you spot someone "on the inside", do not hesitate to go and talk if the occasion allows!

Oops, addition: Sophie is so cute! I reckon Paulie's plan might also be to simply prevent packing: "stop doing that useless thing right now, you should be paying attention to me!" :)

MC,

Marymoo is right that you got your ticket quite early which is good. I got my ticket a few days before the Roundhouse gig - too close for comfort.

When I went to the Hyde Park concert I met up with a guy who knew Pino quite well so that's how he got backstage passes and me being able to have my picture taken with Rog.

I like how your cat is sitting on the briefcase. My boyfriend's cat likes to lie on the sofa and stop other people from sitting on it!

Hi MC,
You might want to email Rachel or Mikey and ask her about passes. I have no idea how to get them, but do know you need them before you get there.

Have a great time!

We get our Who fix in a week!
