I've been tagged by Chaz, so here we go...
I've got the nearest book, which is The Century by Peter Jennings and Todd Brewster.
I've turned to page 123, and starting at the fifth sentance, here's the next three sentences...
In the 1920's, traditionalists also staked their claim in the church. Religious belief encountered some stiff competition in the years immediately after the war, especially from psychoanalysis, science, and a Sunday joyride in the sedan. It suffered, too, from it's failure to give people adequate answers to the nagging questions of the war. Just how did one worship a God who tolerated suffering on such an enormous scale?
There you have it. I now tag Gary, Cathy with a C, Coleen, and Johanna

I have a good answer to your tagged reading question.
You can tap into that sort of thing any time if you wish.
On another note, are we, as WHO fans, not upset that folks blast Roger for not showing up?
It kills me, though the reasons are valid, and so thick....HEY...these guys are in their sixties...and still paving the way!

Hey good show! It's bizarre what reading materials some people keep at close hand!
sounds like a good book..thats a good question..
Dan,
I'm guessing you heard about Roger getting Bronchitis, I hope he gets well soon! so those people won't be upset anymore. They totally are still paving the way, their concert blew away the other one's I've been to!
Chaz & Gypsy,
Yeah it is a great book! I've been reading a lot of books which the subjects are history and social science. I just renewed The Century becaue it is a long book, and I am now just getting to the Sixties.
I had "Prison Writings-My Life is a Sundance" by Leonard Peltier that I never got to because I had so many books. I had to return it to the library because it was a requested book and I wasn't allowed to renew it!
I really like this tag
It is fascinating how interesting three little sentences may be...
Hope to find you well sweetie
((Big hug))
Hi MC,
Thanks for popping by my blog. I've been to yours recently but hadn't got round to leaving a message.
Glad you had a good time at the Who gig. I don't think there's a better show out there. Seems you saw it at good time, as it looks like the rest of the leg might be cancelled. I'm not hopeful for the Albert Hall show on the 31st, which I'm supposed to go to.
