RIP Dimebag Darrell

On Saturday I was watching Behind the Music-Pantera, and I was reminded of the day that Dimebag Darrell died, which was December 8, 2004. I was in my car when I heard the news on the radio about Dimebag Darrell getting shot onstage and was completely shocked!, I was just getting into the music of Pantera and Damageplan, now I'll never get a chance to see them in concert.
To those who don't know, here's my description of what happened. (Go to MTVnews.com for more details) ...Pantera had broken up a while ago, so Dimebag Darrell and his brother Vinnie Paul (Drummer of both these bands) formed the group Damageplan. Anyways, they were playing at a club and as they were just playing their first song of the set, Nathan Gale ( a fucked up person who supposedly was upset over Pantera breaking up) runs into the club and up the stage and shoots Dimebag four or five times. He also shot four more people and probably would've shot more people if not for the cop who shot and killed him. Some of you probably know that this event took place the same day that John Lennon was shot. The differences between these two events is this; John Lennon wasn't on stage, no one else was shot, and the shooter was put in jail. The similarities are the unknown motives of both the shooters, why did Mark Chapman shoot John Lennon? Why did Nathan Gale shoot Dimebag Darrell?
Dimebag and John Lennon are up there with George Harrison, Keith Moon, John Entwistle, Cliff Burton, Aaliyah, and so many others. The one thing they all have in common is the fact that they will never grow old and they will live on through their music and other things they've done.
